How energy is transferred between states of matter

Solids - A  solid object is an object that can not be moulded or moved without being smashed or broken . But why can't it be moved ? . Well , the particles that are in a solid object are really close together . All the particles are hugging each other making it really strong . As the atoms of the solid gain energy of movement , the temperature increases . This process is called conduction .

Liquid and  Gas -   Liquid is a substance that flows freely. The consistency is just like water. The particles that are in liquid are close together just like solid , but are more apart . The particles are able to constantly shift and move around . This process is called  convection . Convection occurs when particles with a lot of heat take the place of the particles with less heat . Heat is transferred from hot places to cooler places by convection . Gas . Gas is a air like substance which expands to fill any available space . the particles in gas are very far apart . The particles are  able to have a lot of space . Just like liquid the particles with a lot of  heat take the place of the particles that have less heat . Liquid and gas have the same process called convection .
